BWHS Communication Process
Bishop Watterson’s communication process for managing academic questions, concerns and issues is anchored in the encouragement of our students to learn the communication tools necessary to advocate for themselves, a skill that will carry forward to college and life. With that in mind, here is our procedure for communicating:
The first step is for a student to address any questions or concerns by speaking directly with the teacher.
If there continues to be a lack of clarity or understanding, students can talk to their counselor, who can help the student formulate questions and share ideas for how to improve communication with their teacher.
If those steps have been taken and there continues to be concerns, the student and parent should schedule a conference with the teacher.
